On October 7th, 2023, the terrorist organization Hamas carried out a coordinated attack against southern Israel that left approximately 1,200 people killed and 251 kidnapped. Three years after those events, Argentina remembers the victims and reiterates its condemnation of terrorism and antisemitism.
In the early morning hours, members of Hamas and other armed groups entered Israeli territory and attacked various communities near the Gaza Strip, as well as those attending the Nova music festival.
The attacks included murders, kidnappings, and acts of sexual violence against the civilian population. The scale and brutality of the events that occurred on October 7th left a deep mark on Israeli society and also affected citizens of other nationalities, including Argentines.
The Argentine Republic, which recognizes Hamas as an international terrorist organization, expressed its condemnation of terrorism and its rejection of all forms of violence and antisemitism.
Three years after the attack, we remember those who lost their lives, stand in solidarity with their families and the survivors, and reaffirm our commitment to the defense of life and peace.
