Every July 16th, Argentina commemorates Argentine Maritime Interests Day, a holiday established in honor of Vice Admiral Segundo R. Storni, a pioneer of national maritime thought. This year marks the 150th anniversary of his birth, an opportunity to remember the legacy of the man who championed a strategic vision of the sea’s value for the country’s development, sovereignty, and future.
