On the second anniversary of the May Pact, we commemorate the agreement signed with the goal of reestablishing the social contract that gave rise to our nation, rebuilding the foundations of Argentina, and setting our people back on the path to development and prosperity.
On July 9, 2024, at the Historic House of Independence in San Miguel de Tucumán, President Javier Milei, together with the governors of 18 provinces and the Head of Government of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, signed this agreement as an expression of consensus on the principles considered essential for the country’s future.
The May Pact brings together ten guiding principles that establish a long-term agenda for the country’s development, focused on institutional strengthening, balanced public finances, economic freedom, the modernization of the tax and labor systems, improvements in education, and Argentina’s integration into the international community.
