On July 2nd, 1976, Argentina was the scene of one of the most painful events in its recent history. On that day, an explosive device placed by the Montoneros group exploded at the headquarters of the Federal Security Superintendence, known as Federal Coordination, located at Moreno 1417, Buenos Aires City.

The detonation took place at 1:20 p.m. in the dining room of that office, at a time when dozens of non-commissioned officers were having lunch. The attack caused the collapse of the roof and left 23 people dead and dozens wounded.

49 years after that attack, we pay tribute to the victims and reaffirm the importance of remembering all the facts of our history. For a long time, only part of the story has been told, silencing the pain of the families of the security forces who also suffered the scourge of violence.
