Argentine government authorizes gas exports to Chile

Exports of up to 10 million m3 per day will be permitted between September 2019 and May 2020. The first half of 2019 saw an average of 5.9 million m3 exported gas per day to Chile, Brazil and Uruguay.

In the framework of Resolution 417/19 of 26 July (which establishes new guidelines for the authorization of exports of natural gas), the Argentine government today established conditions to authorize uninterruptible gas exports to Chile, of up to 10 million m3 per day for the period 15 September 2019 and 15 May 2020.

In September 2018, Argentina started exporting gas to Chile once again, after an abrupt suspension in 2007. The first half of 2019 saw an average of 5.9 million m3 exported gas per day to Chile, Brazil and Uruguay.
